"Stats-geeks will point to a mediocre .909 sv% but on none of the goals was he at fault. Even the first one. With some Buffalo fans losing their minds thinking that he let in a softie, it turns out that the shot by Philly's Chris VandeVeld was tipped ever so slightly by defenseman Mark Pysyk"

Say it again - I'd like Bylsma to keep that kid line together for a bit. Larsson can really be a beast when he wants to.

I've watched McCabe in Rochester for a while and always thought of him as a Ryan Mcdonagh LITE. Solid in the D zone with underrated o zone skill.

Not many complaints from last night Sam and Jack worked well together (besides when jack was trying to play by himself).

Mouls Gio Gus were arguably the best line. Imo Gus has been trying to fit a role and finally just went to his game.

Pysyk-I'd like to see get a little more ice time

ROR- monster in the dirty areas of the O-zone

I had said earlier in the day yesterday that Girgs was finding his way with the new coach. He had a very strong level of comfort with Nolan being that they had previous experience together from the Latvian national team. I don't know how Bylsma could have an issue with him after last night's performance. That was the Girgs we've seen most of the last 2 seasons. It was good to see him break out like that last night. He easily could have had several goals last night.

Someone said they each being something different to that line and compliment each other nicely, and I agree. Also gives them more sheltered minutes.

Other than the 3rd period of game 1, he just looked like he didn't fit in. It was like he didn't know what his role was supposed to be. I think he figured it back out last night.

Reinhart's going to be the best setup guy we've seen here in a long time. Having a guy like Eichel that can finish compliments that well. Larsson goes out there and makes the space the other 2 can use to operate. It could be a fun line to watch develop.

Did Bylsma say Bogosian is week-week?

Does anyone know what Bogosian's injury is?

like someone said, he figured out he should just be who he is...he's a two-way player so any role suits who he is as a player

That feed out of the corner, though. Rarely, when watching on TV, does a play like really surprise me - my jaw hit the floor on that pass.

You can see he's adjusted to the speed of the game now. If he hadn't, you wouldn't see passes like he was making last night. He's confident he can play at this level now and it's definitely showing.

I've always thought Larsson could make an impact, I do like how disruptive he plays, stick always in your way. This team could shape up nicely. His corsi is sick, he really plays the way you want (according to the new way to look at performance).

I would only be in favor of trading Larsson if the return was a top 4 D or top 6 F (more parts involved)

Nice win last night and the tying goal was random, but we do need a stronger goalie. We would be in the hunt for the playoffs if they can figure out that position.

I think Johnson is fine if you're playing 5 on 5. It's when we go on the PK that you see we could use someone better back there.

"22 saves on 25 shots. Stats-geeks will point to a mediocre .909 sv%"

PCT% is correct but he saved 30 of 33 shots

Few more games and he could be a bunch better at it. Seems he is using his playing time to learn . What a few of our goalies never did.
